Begin by singing Raffi’s Shake My Sillies Out.
Book: Is Your Mama a Llama? by Deborah Guarino; illustrated by Steven Kellogg.
Poem: My Mother Has Gone Crazy by Suzanne Wunder from the book, I Invited a Dragon to Dinner and Other Poems to Make You Laugh Out Loud, illustrated by Chris L. Demarest. We brought in props to use along with the poem.
Book: That’s What You Get! by Rick Walton, illustrated by Jimmy Holder. We used a puppet for the part of the mother.
Story: Busy Mother.
Book: Llama Llama Mad at Mama by Anna Dewdney.
Song: Over in the Meadow from the Raffi compact disc, Baby Beluga. We used some animal pictures on the magnetic chalkboard while we sang the song.
Book: Mother, Mother, I Want Another by Maria Polushkin Robbins; illustrated by Jon Goodell. We used a little mouse puppet as well as some other animal puppets while we read the book.
Puppet Show: My Mom Is Better Than Your Mom based on the story My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad by Andy Griffiths from the book, Guys Write for Guys Read. We used boy puppets while we acted out this funny story.
