Hands and Feet, January 25th and 26th, 2012


Begin by singing Raffi’s Shake My Sillies Out.

Book: My Two Hands: My Two Feet by Rick Walton; illustrated by Julia Gorton.

Poem: Ticklish Tom, from the Shel Silverstein book, A Light in the Attic. We used a number of puppets to act out this poem.

Song: Put Your Finger On, from the compact disc by Parachute Express.

Book: Piggies by Audrey and Don Wood.

Song: The Hokey Pokey.

Book: A Kiss For You! by Joan Holub; illustrated by Caroline Jayne Church.

Activity/Rhyme: Counting Feet.

Poem: Shoe Talk, from the Shel Silverstein book, Falling Up. We gave an old brown shoe a “mouth” to use with this poem.

Book: Shoes by Elizabeth Winthrop; illustrated by William Joyce.

Song: Use Your Own Two Feet,” from the cd, A Cathy & Marcy Collection for Kids.

Rhyme: Goodbye Rhyme. We used puppets to act out the motions.
