Book: The Itsy Bitsy Spider by Iza Trapani. We put the words to the 6 verses on an overhead and had the parents sing the song while we held up the book.

Book: If You’re Happy and You Know It (Jungle Edition) by James Warhola

Song: Old McDonald had a Farm with puppets!

Song: Let’s Make Some Noise by Raffi from the Everything Grows album. We passed out instruments and marched around the room while we listened to this song.

Singable Sotries, July 21st and July 22nd, 2010

Begin by singing Raffi’s Shake My Sillies Out.

Books: Catalina Magdalena Hoopensteiner Wallendiner Hogan Logan Bogan was Her Name by Tedd Arnold.

Song: Old MacDonald Had a ‘Farm. We used
puppets to sing this version of the song. We began with a cow and then sang about funny things like an alien, witch, pirate, octopus, and dinosaur. Great fun indeed!

Book: Down by the Bay by Raffi; illustrated by Nadine Bernard Westcott. We used a girl puppet to sing the mother's part in the song.)

Song: The Green Grass Grew All Around We made some paper cut-outs which can be used on a magnetic chalkboard while singing this song.

Song/Fingerplay: Peanut Butter by Robin Oz.

G. Brian Karas. We used some animal pictures on a flannel board while we sang this song.

Song/Fingerplay – The Itsy Bitsy Spider by Iza Trapani. (Due to the length of this song, we omitted a few verses.

Book – Down by the Bay by Raffi; illustrated by Nadine Bernard Westcott. (Deanna and I each used one of our girl puppets to sing the mothers’ parts in the song.)
