Begin by singing Raffi’s “Shake My Sillies Out”
Activity – We had envelopes with pictures of our stories, songs and books in Liesl’s Snoopy mailbox. We had children from the audience get an envelope from the mailbox to choose our next activity. This was so fun! In no particular order, we read (sung, etc.):
Book – I Love Korky! by Cristiano Sorrentino
Poem – My Dog In Many Ways by Jack Prelutsky from the book Be Glad Your Nose Is On Your Face –Liesl’s dog puppet “licked” Deanna’s face during the telling of this funny poem about a dog who likes to drink out of the toilet.
Book – What’s Under the Bed? by Joe Fenton
Song – One Finger, One Thumb by The Wiggles from the CD You Make Me Feel Like Dancing. Great action song!
Book – Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck! by Kyle Mewbern. Funny story!
Poem – Me – see attached. This is from the book Oops! by Alan Katz. Used a puppet dressed like a superhero to act out a poem about a kid with superpowers except when it comes to tying his shoes. Cute!
Song – Dr. Knickerbocker #9 by The Wiggles – Yet another great action song from You Make Me Feel Like Dancing!
