Silly Stories, February 3rd and 4th, 2010

We started off telling the children, we wouldn’t shake our sillies out because we wanted to keep them in for our Silly Storytime.

we used props for this.

Book: Seals on the Bus by Lenny Hort – sing for tons of fun!!!

Song: Chicken Dance from Dance Baby Dance.

Book: Can You Make a Scary Face? By Jan Thomas

Jokes: We each had a puppet and told jokes to each other:
How do you stop a skunk from smelling? Hold his nose!
What kinds of pets make the best music? Trump-pets
What time is it when an elephant sits on a fence? Time to fix the fence
What is the hardest part about learning to ice skate? The ice
What kind of insect lives in a graveyard? A Zom-bee!!!!

Book: There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly by Simms Taback we used an Old Lady puppet and props.

Song: Shake Your Sillies Out by Raffi. Now that Silly Storytime is over it’s time to really shake those sillies out!!!
