Book: The Boy Who Looked Like Lincoln by Mike Reiss; illustrated by David Catrow.
Poem: Ten Little Fingers
I have ten little fingers, they all belong to me.
I can make them do things, do you want to see?
I can shut them up tight;
I can open them wide;
I can put them together;
And I can make them all hide.
I can put them up high;
I can put them down low;
I can fold them together,
And hold them just so.
Book: I Like Myself by Karen Beaumont; illustrated by David Catrow.
Song: If You’re Happy and You Know It from the compact disc, Get Ready, Get Set, Sing! Songs for early childhood and ESL. This is a good version of the song as it goes through various emotions such as being happy, sad, angry, sleepy, hungry, etc..
Book: My Many Colored Days by Dr. Seuss; illustrated by Steve Johnson and Lou Fancher.
Poem: Everybody Says, we put on the various costumes/props while we read the poem.
Book: Just Right by Kathy Caple. We have paper cut-outs which can be used on a magnetic chalkboard in place of the actual book.
Song: Wishing Song, from the compact disc, The Muppet Show: The 25th Anniversary Collection. We made some props which we used along with our Gonzo and chicken puppets to lip sync to the song while the cd played. We sat behind a sheet so that the audience could only see Gonzo and the chicken and the things he was singing about.)
